Body
WHEREAS, Kogan Lee, a 2001 graduate of Blue Springs High School was selected as one of The Kansas City Star's Scholar-Athletes of the Year for 2001; and,
WHEREAS, Kogan ranked 21st in his class of 429, maintained a 4.077 GPA on a 4.0 scale, and earned five varsity letters, three in golf and two in basketball; and,
WHEREAS, he qualified for Missouri 4A state golf tournament as a junior and started every basketball game as a senior; and,
WHEREAS, he was a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes; and,
WHEREAS, Kogan is not only a top scholar and star athlete, but also an extraordinary musician who played in marching, concert, symphonic, and pep bands; and,
WHEREAS, Kogan is the son of Mike and Terri Lee of Blue Springs, Missouri; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature congratulates Kogan Lee upon being named one of The Kansas City Star's Scholar-Athletes of the Year for 2001.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
