WHEREAS, the Family Court Division's Child Protection Center (CPC) has been awarded a grant in the amount of $19,625.50 by the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation for the period commencing January 1, 2007, and continuing through June 30, 2007; and,
WHEREAS, the grant funds will be used for a therapist's contractual expenses and a part-time secretary; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place the grant funding in the proper spending accounts; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be made from the unappropriated surplus of the 2007 Grant Fund:
