Body
WHEREAS, Section 141.770.2, RSMo 2000, allows the Trustees of the Land Trust of Jackson County to amend the Land Trust's approved and adopted budget upon the approval of the governing bodies of the county and city that appointed the trustee members; and,
WHEREAS, as a result of Land Trust identifying dangerous buildings on its ownership rolls in need of demolition, Land Trust needs to reallocate monies budgeted for maintenance in its 2003 budget which was earlier approved; and,
WHEREAS, in an attempt to properly maintain the Land Trust properties, prevent potential liability, and curb blight in the areas in which the properties are located, the Land Trust wishes to dedicate additional funds in its 2003 budget to cover demolition expenses; and,
WHEREAS, the Trustees request that Land Trust's 2003 budget be amended to reflect the reallocation of monies to cover additional expenses for demolition; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that Land Trust Trustees are hereby authorized to amend its Land Trust 2003 budget in accordance with the attachment.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
