BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:
Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RR" (Residential Ranchette) District so that there will be transferred from District A to District RR a tract of land described as follows:
Description:
A 25 ± acre tract of land generally located at the northeast corner of Hunt Road and Zumalt Road and more specifically described as:
A portion of the Southwest quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 5 and the Northwest quarter of the Northeast quarter of Section 8, Township 47 North, Range 29 West, Jackson County, Missouri, described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of the Southeast quarter of said Section 5; thence N 3°25'20"E along the West line of said quarter section for 70.50 feet; thence S 88°02'06"E parallel to the North line of said Southwest quarter of the Southeast quarter for 873.06 feet; thence S 1°50'30"W parallel to the West line of said Northwest quarter of the Northeast quarter of Section 8 for 1427.50 feet to the South line of said quarter quarter section; thence N 87°45'01"W along said South line for 875.02 feet to the Southwest corner of said quarter quarter section; thence N 01°50'30"E along said West line for 1352.67 feet to the Point of Beginning.
Section 2. The preliminary plat "Morning Star - Lots 4-8," creating a five-lot residential subdivision, is hereby approved.
Section 3. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Tasunke Witko Development Co. (RZ-2000-219), requesting the amendment embodied in this ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission, by a vote of 4-1, recommended this application in a public hearing on November 16, 2000, does adopt this ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
