Body
WHEREAS, the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited formal written bids on Invitation to Bid No. 26-038 for a term and supply contract for the furnishing of HVAC services for use by various County departments for split twenty-four-month term and supply contract, with one (1) twelve-month option to extend; and,
WHEREAS, a total of 1,876 notifications were distributed and four (4) responses were received and evaluated, from the following:

EMCOR Services-Fagan
Kansas City, KS
Lippert Mechanical Service
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO
Vazquez Commercial Contracting, LLC
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO
U.S. Engineering Services
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO
and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing recommend a split award to EMCOR Services-Fagan of Kansas City, KS and Lippert Mechanical Service of Kansas City, MO; and,
WHEREAS, a split award to the low bidders is recommended to ensure continued availability and variety of necessary supplies and services from multiple sources; and,
WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount, with the availability of funds for specific purchases subject to annual appropriation, with an estimated usage annually of $580,000.00; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that the award be made as recommended by the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Interim Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment, on the contract to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies are available in the then current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
