Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 4276, dated December 6, 2010, the Legislature did accept the Project Safe Neighborhoods grant awarded by the Kansas City Metropolitan Crime Commission in the amount of $39,229.00 for use by the Prosecuting Attorney's Office; and,
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 4480, dated November 19, 2012, the Legislature did authorize the acceptance additional grant funds in the amount of $40,000.00 and the extension of the grant to September 30, 2013; and,
WHEREAS, the purpose of this grant is to partially fund the salary of one attorney assigned to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of Missouri; and,
WHEREAS, the Kansas City Metropolitan Crime Commission has authorized an extension of the grant period to December 31, 2013, with additional grant funds in the amount of $1,628.63; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place grant funds in the proper spending account; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the undesignated fund balance of the 2013 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund be and hereby is made:
