IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title A RESOLUTION authorizing the Chair of the Fiscal Commission to execute an agreement with The Salvation Army, in the amount of $37,960.00 on the recommendation of the Jackson County Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fiscal Commission. Intro RESOLUTION #10679, February 21, 1995 INTRODUCED BY Lisa White Hardwick, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, the Jackson County Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fiscal Commission was empowered by Ordinance #1771, #1795 and #1941 to make recommendations to the Legislature for the expenditure of Anti-Drug Sales Tax Funds for the purposes of treatment and rehabilitation of drug offenders; and, WHEREAS, the Fiscal Commission has reviewed a proposal from The Salvation Army to provide social detoxification for those with substance abuse problems; and, WHEREAS, The Salvation Army has received funding in 1994 for this program upon the recommendation of the Fiscal Commission; and, WHEREAS, the Fiscal Commission has carefully reviewed this 1995 proposal from The Salvation Army; and, WHEREAS, the Fiscal Commission has recommended funding in the amount of $37,960 from the Anti-Drug Sales Tax for The Salvation Army's proposal; therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Chair of the Fiscal Commission is hereby authorized to enter into the attached agreement, a copy of which is incorporated herein by reference, with The Salvation Army; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement. Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
