Body
WHEREAS, the members of the Jackson County Plan Commission ("Plan Commission") perform a valuable public service; and,
WHEREAS, service on the Plan Commission is an activity that the County Legislature recognizes can impose significant burdens on the members and their families; and,
WHEREAS, the County Legislature wishes to recognize and honor the service of the members of the Plan Commission by increasing their compensation rate per meeting; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Enacting Clause.
Section 8107., Jackson County Code, 1984, is hereby repealed, and one new section enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as Section 8107. to read as follows:
Section 8107. Compensation.
All members of the Plan Commission shall receive [fifty dollars ($50)] one hundred dollars ($100) for each meeting attended.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
