Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited written bids on Bid No. 56-97 for the furnishing of wheel loaders, tractor mowers, and a loader/backhoe tractor for use by the Public Works Department; and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Purchasing Director recommends that the contract be divided and awarded to the vendors submitting the lowest bid for each item; and,
WHEREAS, award as recommended would result in the actual amounts for the respective vendors as follows:

and,
WHEREAS, the acquisition of the new wheel loaders, tractor mowers, and loader/backhoe tractor has rendered the following equipment as surplus property:
1973 Case model W20 wheel loader, serial no. 9112922
1975 Case model W14H wheel loader, serial no. 9119472
1981 Ford tractor mower, model 9K29B, serial no. 670K22
1983 John Deere tractor mower, model 401B, serial no. T0401BG704532
1983 John Deere tractor mower, model 401B, serial no. T0401BG704752
1983 Ford loader/backhoe tractor, model 755, serial no. 2832
and;
WHEREAS, pursuant to 1134., Jackson County Code, 1984, the Purchasing Director has
requested that he be authorized to dispose of this equipment by way of trade-in; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the existing wheel loaders, tractor mowers, and loader/backhoe tractor be and hereby are declared surplus property and the Purchasing Director be and hereby is authorized to dispose of these items by way of trade-in...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
