BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:

Section 1.  The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RR" (Residential Ranchette) District so that there will be transferred from District A to District RR a tract of land described as follows:

Description:

 

A 22.3 ± acre tract of land generally located at the northeast corner of Alley and Jackson Road and Lone Jack-Lee's Summit Road and more specifically described as:

 

ALL OF TRACT 3 AS SHOWN IN BOOK T6 PAGE 46 MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:  ALL THAT PART OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 16, TOWNSHIP 47, RANGE 30, JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI LYING NORTHERLY OF MISSOURI ROUTE 50 HIGHWAY, EXCEPT THE EAST 473.87 FEET, MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: BEGINNING AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF SAID QUARTER QUARTER SECTION; THENCE SOUTH 89 DEGREES 59 MINUTES 48 SECONDS EAST ALONG THE NORTH LINE OF SAID QUARTER QUARTER SECTION, A DISTANCE OF 30 FEET TO THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF LOT 5, SEMLOH ACRES, A RECORDED SUBDIVISION IN JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI , SAID POINT ALSO BEING THE TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING OF THE TRACT OF LAND TO BE HEREIN DESCRIBED; THENCE CONTINUING SOUTH 89 DEGREES 59 MINUTES 48 SECONDS EAST ALONG THE NORTH LINE OF SAID QUARTER QUARTER SECTION, ALSO BEING THE SOUTH LINE OF SAID LOT 5, A DISTANCE OF 814.96 FEET TO THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF SAID LOT 5; THENCE SOUTH 02 DEGREES 04 MINUTES 47 SECONDS WEST ALONG A LINE 473.87 FEET WEST OF AND PARALLEL TO THE EAST LINE OF SAID QUARTER QUARTER SECTION, A DISTANCE OF 1298.76 FEET DEED 1298.63 FEET MEASURED TO A POINT ON THE NORTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF LONE JACK-LEE'S SUMMIT ROAD (20 FEET FROM THE CENTERLINE THEREOF); THENCE NORTH 89 DEGREES 54 MINUTES 33 SECONDS WEST ALONG THE NORTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE, A DISTANCE OF 118.38 FEET; THENCE NORTH 0 DEGREES 05 MINUTES 27 SECONDS EAST, A DISTANCE OF 15 FEET; THENCE NORTH 89 DEGREES 54 MINUTES 33 SECONDS WEST, A DISTANCE OF 51.20 FEET; THENCE NORTH 82 DEGREES 33 MINUTES 58 SECONDS WEST, A DISTANCE OF 80.77 FEET; THENCE NORTH 67 DEGREES 17 MINUTES 48 SECONDS WEST, A DISTANCE OF 550.10 FEET; THENCE NORTH 32 DEGREES 46 MINUTES 00 SECONDS WEST, A DISTANCE OF 76.47 FEET; THENCE NORTH 02 DEGREES 02 MINUTES 37 SECONDS  EAST, A DISTANCE OF 70.30 FEET; THENCE NORTH 87 DEGREES 57 MINUTES 23 SECONDS WEST, A DISTANCE OF 5 FEET TO A POINT ON THE EAST RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF ALLEY-JACKSON ROAD (30 FEET FROM THE CENTERLINE THEREOF); THENCE NORTH 02 DEGREES  02 MINUTES 37 SECONDS EAST ALONG SAID RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE, ALSO BEING A LINE 30 FEET EAST OF AND PARALLEL TO THE WEST LINE OF SAID QUARTER QUARTER SECTION, A DISTANCE OF 925.69 FEET TO THE TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING OF THE TRACT OF LAND HEREIN DESCRIBED.

 

Section 2.  The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Jim Lunn (RZ-2000-198), requesting the amendment embodied in this ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended this application in a public hearing on August 17, 2000, does adopt this ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
