Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 15086, dated July 6, 2004, the Legislature did authorize the County Executive to execute an Intergovernmental Cooperative Agreement with the City of Lee's Summit, Mo ("City") for improvements on Blackwell and Woods Chapel Roads; and,
WHEREAS, the City now desires to install a center turn lane in the area of the proposed developments and to expand the existing roadway plan to accommodate this work; and,
WHEREAS, the County has obtained a cost estimate for the proposed work in the amount of $62,355.00 for design services related to the turn lane improvements; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works recommends the approval of Amendment #1 to the Cooperative Agreement to provide for reimbursement from the City to the County; and,
WHEREAS, the City will reimburse the County the sum of $62,355.00 within thirty (30) days of receiving a fully executed copy of Amendment #1 to the Intergovernmental Cooperative Agreement; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Amendment #1 to Intergovernmental Cooperative Agreement with the City of Lee's Summit, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
