AN ORDINANCE amending the districts established by the Jackson County Zoning Order changing from District A (Agricultural) to District RE (Residential Estates), a certain 19.4 ±  acre tract.

Body

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:

Section 1.  The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RE" (Residential Estate) District, so that there will be transferred from District A to District RE, a tract of land described as follows:

Description:

 

The 19.4 ± acres are approximately 1/4 of a mile east of Arnett Road on the north side of Stony Point School Road and specifically described as:

 

All that part of the West half of the Northwest Quarter of Section 10, Township 48 North, Range 30 West in Jackson County, Missouri, and being more fully described as follows: Beginning at the Southwest Corner of the Northwest Quarter of Section 10, Township 48 North, Range 30 West; thence North 01 degrees 55 minutes 33 seconds East (this bearing and all following bearings being referenced to Missouri State Plane Grid North and established by ties to Kansas City Metro Control Station JA-11, using RTK, GPS equipment), along the West line of said Northwest Quarter 1294.65 feet; thence North 59 degrees 55 minutes 41 seconds East, 319.28 feet to a point; thence North 69 degrees 55 minutes 41 seconds East, 244.73 feet; thence South 01 degrees 55 minutes 41 seconds West, along the West line of Lot 2, ZINNA ESTATES, a subdivision in Jackson County, Missouri, for a distance of 770.38 feet to the Southwest Corner of said Lot 2; thence South 87 degrees 27 minutes 57 seconds East along the South line of said Lot 2, a distance of 163.06 feet; thence South 01 degrees 55 minutes 41 seconds West, 790.40 feet to a point on the South line of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 10; thence North 87 degrees 27 minutes 57 seconds West, along said South line 660.74 feet to the point of beginning, aka 30808 E. Stony Point School Road.

 

Section 2.  The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Joseph Zinna (RZ-2004-337), requesting the amendment embodied in this Ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended this application in a public hearing on May 20, 2004, does adopt this Ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.

 

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
