WHEREAS, the Family Court Division has been awarded a grant in the amount of $324,965.00 for the Family Drug Court Program by the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, for the period of October 1, 2010, through September 30, 2013; and,
WHEREAS, the grant funds will be used to provide support services for substance-abusing adults in the Family Court Division as a result of child abuse and neglect issues; and,
WHEREAS, the grant is subject to a local match in the amount of $108,347.00; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation and transfers are necessary to place the grant and matching funds in the proper spending accounts; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfers and appropriation be and hereby are made:
