Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 9016, dated November 12, 1991, the County did on December 17, 1991, enter into an Agreement with the Missouri Department of Conservation to implement the Department's Community Assistance Program; and,
WHEREAS, under this program the Department of Conservation agreed to construct and improve fisheries at certain County parks, and the County agreed to make those facilities available for use by fishermen; and,
WHEREAS, by Resolution 10317, dated May 16, 1994, the County did enter into Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement, changing the scope of work to be performed by the department, at no cost to the County; and,
WHEREAS, by Resolution 13623, March 19, 2001, the County did enter into Amendment No. 2 to the Agreement, changing the scope of work to be performed by the department, at no cost to the County; and,
WHEREAS, an access development project included in the original Agreement, dated November 12, 1991, was deleted in Amendment No. 1; and,
WHEREAS, Amendment No. 2, authorized replacement of an existing boat ramp and renovation of the existing entrance road and parking lot; and,
WHEREAS, the proposed Amendment No. 3, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is necessary to reset the term of the Agreement for an additional 15 years per amendment and authorize an automatic annual renewal of the Agreement upon the expiration of its term; and,
WHEREAS, this change will be at no cost to the County; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Amendment No. 3 to the Agreement with the Missouri Department of Conservation.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
