WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited bids on Electronic Solicitation No. BB20101 for the furnishing of two greens aerators and five utility carts for use by the Parks and Recreation Department; and,
WHEREAS, a total of thirty-one (31) notifications were distributed and six (6) responsive bids were received for Item No. 1 and five (5) responsive bids were received for Item No. 2 as follows:

WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends award to Kansas Golf & Turf of Wichita, KS, and Heritage Tractor of Harrisonville, MO, as the lowest and best bidders, and declares two (2) 1993 Ryan Greensaire 24, four (4) 2000 Toro Workman utility carts, and one (1) 1994 Club Car utility cart, obsolete and unusable personal property to be used as trade-ins on these purchases; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1134., Jackson County Code, 1984, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has requested that he be authorized to dispose of this equipment by way of trade-in; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the specified existing equipment be and hereby is declared surplus personal property and the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to dispose of it by way of trade-in.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
