Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 44-04 for the rental of heavy equipment with operator services for use by the Parks & Recreation Department to provide for the Department's needs for an upcoming one-year period; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has received only one (1) response to bid thereon from the following:
VENDOR BID
Damon Pursell Construction Co. $190,000.00
Liberty, MO
and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that the award be made to Damon Pursell Construction Co. of Liberty, MO, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award for the rental of heavy equipment with operator services for use by the Parks & Recreation Department to Damon Pursell Construction Co. of Liberty, MO, in the estimated annual amount not to exceed $190,000.00 for a twelve (12) month term be and hereby is made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
