Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 188-99 for the furnishing of auto/truck brake parts and service for use by the Public Works and Parks and Recreation Departments; and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Purchasing Director recommends that award of the contract be divided and awarded to the vendors submitting the lowest bid for each item; and,
WHEREAS, award as recommended would result in the estimated amounts for the respective vendors as follows:

World Brake Corp. $8,800.00
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO
Precision Bilt Parts $7,400.00
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
