Body
WHEREAS, Section 1040.1 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, eliminates the requirement for competitive bidding when items to be purchased can be obtained from only one source; and,
WHEREAS, Section 1063.00 of the Code requires notification of and approval by the Legislature on such sole source purchases exceeding $5,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director recommends a contract with K. C. Bobcat of Blue Springs, MO, for the furnishing of cabs and heaters for three 1994 Bobcat skidloaders for use by the Parks and Recreation Department; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director further recommends that he not take competitive bids with regard to said contract for the reason that K. C. Bobcat of Blue Springs, MO, is the only known supplier of factory cabs and heaters for Bobcat skidloaders in the Kansas City metropolitan area; therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Purchasing Director be, and hereby is, authorized to execute for the County a contract with K. C. Bobcat of Blue Springs, MO for the furnishing of cabs and heaters for three 1994 Bobcat Skidloaders for the Parks and Recreation Department, in an amount not to exceed $5,850.00; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract thereby made.
Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
