IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title A RESOLUTION awarding a contract for the furnishing of four motorcycles for use by the Sheriff's Department to Worth Harley Davidson of Belton, MO, in the actual amount of $34,870.00, and declaring five motorcycles as surplus and authorizing their disposal by way of trade-in. Intro RESOLUTION # 12183, April 20, 1998 INTRODUCED BY Dixie M. Flynn, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited written bids for the furnishing of four motorcycles for use by the Sheriff's Department; and, WHEREAS, the only bid received was from Worth Harley Davidson of Belton, MO; and, WHEREAS, the acquisition of these four new motorcycles will render five existing motorcycles, described on the attached request for legislative action, as surplus property; and, WHEREAS, pursuant to 1134., Jackson County Code, 1984, the Purchasing Director has requested that he be authorized to dispose of these five existing motorcycles by way of trade-in; therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the five existing motorcycles be and hereby are declared surplus property and the Purchasing Director be and hereby is authorized to dispose of them by way of trade-in...Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
