Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 44-00 for the furnishing of six mowers for use by the Parks and Recreation Department; and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Purchasing Director recommends that the contract be divided and awarded to the vendors submitting the lowest bid for each item; and,
WHEREAS, award as recommended would result in the estimated award for the respective vendors as follows:

and,
WHEREAS, the acquisition of replacement mowers has rendered three existing mowers and two golf carts as surplus personal property; and,
WHEREAS, these three mowers and two golf carts have become obsolete and unusable; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to §1134., Jackson County Code, 1984, the Purchasing Director has requested that he be authorized to dispose of these existing mowers by way of trade-in; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the existing mowers and golf carts truck be and hereby are declared surplus property and the Purchasing Director be and hereby is authorized to dispose of them by way of trade-in.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
