Body
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:
 
Section 1.  The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RR" (Residential Ranchette) District, so that there will be transferred from District A to District RR, a tract of land described as follows:

The 10 ± acres are located approximately one quarter of a mile south of Herring Road on the east side of Harris Road and specifically described as all that part of the Fractional Northwest quarter of Section 19, Township 47 North, Range 30 West of the Fifth Principal Meridian, all in Jackson County, Missouri, more particularly described as:  
 
Description: Commencing from an existing 5/8" rebar and cap, LS-384-D, said point marking the northwest corner of said Section 19; thence south 02̊30'33" west, a distance of 1318.28 feet to the northwest corner of a tract of land described in Document No. 2004 / 0041072; thence south 89̊51'48" east along the north line of the south half of the fractional northwest quarter of said Section 19 and the north line of said Document, a distance of 1320.02 feet to the Point of Beginning of the tract of land herein described; thence continuing south 89̊51'48" east along said north line, a distance of 613.08 feet; thence south 02̊34'59" west, a distance of 712.50 feet; thence north 89̊24'36" west, a distance of 611.98 feet to a point on the east line of a tract of land described in Book I-2299 at Page 122; thence north 02̊30'33" east, a distance of 707.61 feet to the Point of Beginning.  The above described tract contains 9.98 acres, more or less and is subject to all easements, restrictions, reservations, covenants and rights of way, recorded or unrecorded, if any.
 
 
Section 2. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Lewis Rhodus (RZ-2009-466), requesting the amendment embodied in this Ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended approval of this application in a public hearing on February 19, 2009, does adopt this Ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.
 
 
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date:  This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
