WHEREAS, Missouri River Relief has requested support from Jackson County as a sponsor to the Kansas City Clean-up and Learning Festival to be held October 5-6, 2007; and,
WHEREAS, Missouri River Relief project provides a cost-efficient way to clean up Jackson County's northern border for aquatic life and provide quality water education to students and teachers; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make payment to Missouri River Relief for sponsorship of the Kansas City Clean-up and Learning Festival, in the amount of $2,500.00.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
