RESOLUTION 13760, July 23, 2001

Body

WHEREAS, on Thursday, August 2, 2001, Ernie Tumminia and Anthony L. Soave, owners of Independence Lincoln Mercury Mazda, located at 3225 South Noland Road, in Independence, will officially open to the public the Premier Experience Center; and,

 

WHEREAS, the Tumminia and Soave families have been members of the business community in Independence since 1990; and,

 

WHEREAS, Todd Tumminia has been general manager since 1999 and an active and important member of the community; and,

 

WHEREAS, this new facility has transformed an outdated structure into an architectural landmark along the "Miracle Mile," providing a new standard for luxury automobile buying and service in the Midwest; and,

 

WHEREAS, the 15,000-sq. ft. showcase showroom is the largest indoor showroom in the region and the building features innovative design features unmatched in the marketplace; and,

WHEREAS, an investment of this magnitude demonstrates a continuing commitment to the ongoing revitalization of Eastern Jackson County by the Tumminia and Soave families; now therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature congratulates Ernie Tumminia, Anthony L. Soave, their families, and their family of employees, and wishes them great success in their future business endeavors.

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
