Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 32-01 for the furnishing of one turf tractor and four utility vehicles for use by the Parks and Recreation Department; and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Purchasing Director recommends that the contract be divided and awarded to the vendors submitting the lowest bid meeting specifications for each item as set forth in the attached recapitulation; and,
WHEREAS, award as recommended would result in the actual awards for the respective vendors as follows:

Lawn and Leisure $13,495.00
Lee's Summit, MO
Turf Professionals Equipment Co. $19,996.00
Lenexa, KS
and,
WHEREAS, acquisition of this equipment has rendered certain existing equipment to wit one (1) 1985 John Deere tractor, two (2) 1990 Club car utility vehicles, and one (1) 1992 Club car vehicle, as obsolete and unusable; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has declared this equipment surplus to the county's needs and requested permission to dispose of it by way of trade-in; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Purchasing Director be and hereby is authorized to dispose of the specified surplus personal property by way of trade-in.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
