Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 2732, dated September 8, 1997, the Legislature did authorize the County Executive to execute a contract with Computer Concepts Corp. of Lenexa, KS, for a document management system for use by the Records Department, in the actual amount of $405,186.00, and further authorized the County Executive to approve additional expenditures under this contract in the amount of $4,814.00, for a total authorization under Ordinance 2732 of $410,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Directors of Purchasing and MIS now recommend an amendment to this contract to replace certain equipment lost due to theft and acquire additional equipment to expand the project; and,
WHEREAS, the cost of the proposed amendment is, $58,936.00, which necessitates the obligation of an additional $54,122.00 under this contract; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to fund this contract amendment; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this appropriation as an amendment to her proposed 1999 Jackson County budget; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be made from the unappropriated surplus of the 1999 General Fund:

and,
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the contract amendment recommended by the Director of MIS and Purchasing be and hereby is approved; and,
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute any and all documents necessary to effect this amendment; and,
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract...Attorney
Effective Date: This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
