WHEREAS, by Resolution 16008, dated August 28, 2006, the Legislature did award a six-year lease on Request for Proposal No. 7-06 for office space for the Prosecuting Attorney's Family Support Division, to K.C. Partners of Kansas City, MO, at a cost to the County not to exceed $303,500.00 for the first year of the lease with a base rent of $300,000.00 and parking space rent of $3,500.00, and annual incremental increases for each year thereafter; and,
WHEREAS, due to an administrative error, it is necessary to amend the cost to the County from $303,500.00 for the first year to $344,000.00 to reflect an annual base rent of $300,000.00 as previously approved, and annual parking space rent of $44,000.00 for up to 55 parking spaces; and,
WHEREAS, all rent is subject to reimbursement by the State of Missouri; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the cost to the County for the Prosecuting Attorney's Family Support Division six-year lease for office space be amended to reflect an annual base rent of $300,000.00 and annual parking space rent of $44,000.00 for up to 55 parking spaces, at a cost to the County not to exceed $344,000.00; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the portion of Resolution 16008, dated August 28, 2006, that designates the cost to the County as $303,500.00 for the first year of the lease, be and hereby is rescinded.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
