IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title A RESOLUTION awarding a contract on Bid No. 96-99 for the furnishing of one disc brush chipper for use by the Public Works Department to Halco, Inc., of Kansas City, KS, in the actual amount of $27,432.61, and declaring one 1976 Chipmore Model TM160 brush chipper as surplus and authorizing its disposal by way of a trade-in. Intro RESOLUTION #12854, August 23, 1999 INTRODUCED BY Lisa White Hardwick, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 96-99 for the furnishing of one disc brush chipper for use by the Public Works Department; and, WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest three bids thereon, bids from the following: VENDOR Halco, Inc. Kansas City, KS Vegetation Management Supply Kansas City, KS Vermeer Sales & Service, Inc. Olathe, KS and, WHEREAS, he has recommended that award be made to Halco, Inc., of Kansas City, KS, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid meeting specifications; and, WHEREAS, the acquisition of a new brush chipper has rendered one 1976 Chipmore Model TM160 brush chipper as surplus personal property; and, WHEREAS, this brush chipper has become obsolete and unusable; and, WHEREAS, pursuant to 1134., Jackson County Code, 1984, the Purchasing Director has requested that he be authorized to dispose of this brush chipper by way of trade-in; therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the identified existing brush chipper be and hereby is declared surplus property and the Purchasing Director be and hereby is authorized to dispose of it by way of trade-in. Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
