IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to execute a First Addendum to the Agreement with Kansas City Crime Commission-Metropolitan Community Service Program, to provide the continuation of placement and supervision services for clients of the Prosecuting Attorney's Deferred Prosecution and Drug Court programs, at no additional cost to the County. Intro RESOLUTION #12038, February 9, 1998 INTRODUCED BY Dennis Waits, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, the voters of Jackson County, Missouri, approved imposition of a sales tax for seven years to provide funding for the fight against illegal drugs in our community; and, WHEREAS, the proceeds and interest generated from this tax are deposited in a special Jackson County Anti-Drug Sales Tax Trust Fund that is segregated and not commingled with the general fund or any other special funds of the County; and, WHEREAS, Resolution 11147, dated January 29, 1996, authorized the County Executive to execute a contract out of anti-drug sales tax funds with Kansas City Crime Commission-Metropolitan Community Service Program, to provide the continuation of placement and supervision services for clients of the Prosecuting Attorney's Deferred Prosecution and Drug Court Programs, at a cost to the County of $40,020.00 for a term to expire December 31, 1997; and, WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney now recommends extending this contract through April 30, 1998, at no additional cost to the County, upon the terms and conditions of the First Addendum attached hereto; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be, and hereby is, authorized to execute the attached First Addendum to the Agreement with Kansas City Crime Commission-Metropolitan Community Service Program; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be, and hereby is, authorized to make all payments, including final payments on the Agreement...Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
