IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to execute an Agreement with Niles Home for Children, in the amount of $30,000 on the recommendation of the Jackson County Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fiscal Commission. Intro RESOLUTION #11135 , January 22, 1996 INTRODUCED BY Lisa White Hardwick, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, the Jackson County Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fiscal Commission was empowered by Ordinance #1771, #1795 and #1941 to make recommendations to the Legislature for the expenditure of Anti- Drug Sales Tax Funds for the purposes of treatment and rehabilitation of drug offenders; and, WHEREAS, the Fiscal Commission reviewed treatment proposals during 1995 ; and, WHEREAS, the Fiscal Commission reviewed a proposal from Niles Home for Children , to provide an adolescent substance abuse treatment program; and, WHEREAS, Niles Home for Children, has received funding in prior years for this program upon the recommendation of the Fiscal Commission; and, WHEREAS, during 1995 the Fiscal Commission carefully reviewed this proposal for 1996 funding from Niles Home for Children; and, WHEREAS, the Fiscal Commission has recommended funding in the amount of $30,000 from COMBAT Funds for the proposal; therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to enter into the attached Agreement with Niles Home for Children ; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement. Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
