Body
WHEREAS, the voters of Jackson County, Missouri, approved imposition of the sales tax for seven (7) years to provide funding for the fight against illegal drugs in our community; and,
WHEREAS, the Legislature authorized local matching funds through Ordinance 2373; and,
WHEREAS, the Kansas City Housing Authority (KCHA) has received a grant from the Department of Housing and Urban Development in the amount of $459,000, for the following programs:
i. Youth Entrepreneur Program;
ii. Shadow Box II Program; and
iii. Recreational Program
and;
WHEREAS, the KCHA has requested matching funds in the amount of $59,514.12 to implement the program; and,
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney has reviewed this request and recommends funding in the amount of $59,514.12; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Prosecuting Attorney is hereby authorized to execute the attached agreement with the Kansas City Housing Authority; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the manager of the Division of Finance is hereby authorized to make all payments, including final payment on this Agreement...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
