BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:
 
Section 1.  The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RR" (Residential Ranchette) District, so that there will be transferred from District A to District RR, a tract of land described as follows:

The 10 ± acres are located approximately one-quarter of a mile west of Burnley Road on the north side of U.S. Highway 24 westbound lanes and specifically described as the east 10 acres of the southwest quarter of the southeast quarter of Section 16, Township 50, Range 30, Jackson County, Missouri, except any part in right of way of U.S. Highway 24, more particularly described as:  
 
Description: Commencing at the southwest corner of Section 16, Township 50, Range 30, Jackson County, Missouri, thence south 87̊55'31" east, along the south line of said Section 16, a distance of 986.94 feet to the Point of Beginning; thence departing said south line, north 03̊30'50" east, a distance of 1330.19 feet to a point on the north line of the southwest quarter of the southeast quarter of said Section 16; thence along said north line, south 88̊03'28" east, a distance of 337.17 feet to a point on said north line, said point being 6.70 feet west of the northeast corner of said quarter quarter section; thence south 03̊19'53" west, a distance of 1291.54 feet to the intersection of the north right-of-way of U.S. Highway 24, as now established; thence south 03̊37'42" west, a distance of 39.33 feet to the southeast corner of said quarter quarter; thence along the south line of said Section 16, northeast corner of the southwest quarter of said Section, north 87̊55'31" west, a distance of 341.18 feet to the Point of Beginning.  All bearings are reference to Station JA-17 of the Missouri State Plane Coordinate System of 1983 West Zone.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Section 2. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Fred Davis (RZ-2009-463), requesting the amendment embodied in this Ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended approval of this application in a public hearing on February 19, 2009, does adopt this Ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.
 
 
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date:  This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
