IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI

AN ORDINANCE transferring $12,939 within the 1997 Recorder's Fee Fund and appropriating $45,575 from the unappropriated surplus of the 1997 Grant Fund to cover the Local Records Preservation grant received from the Missouri Secretary of State's office, and the transfer of matching funds.

Body
WHEREAS, the Missouri Secretary of State's Office has awarded a Local Records Preservation grant to the Department of Records; and,
WHEREAS, funding from this grant will provide box shelving for the Records Center; and,
WHEREAS, the total state share of the grant is $32,636.00 with a local match of $12,939.00; and,
WHEREAS, in order to accept this grant, a transfer within the 1997 Recorder's Fee Fund and an appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 1997 Grant Fund are necessary; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said transfer; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer and appropriation be and hereby are made:
