Body
WHEREAS, the Missouri Department of Social Services Division of Youth Services has awarded a grant to the Family Court Division of the Jackson County Circuit Court for its After School Supervision Education & Treatment Project; and,
WHEREAS, the After School Supervision Education and Treatment program provides academic and skill building activities as a means of reducing the rate of juvenile offender recidivism; and,
WHEREAS, the term of this grant is from July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2006; and,
WHEREAS, acceptance of this grant requires an appropriation in the amount of $56,553.00 in order to place the grant monies in the proper spending accounts for use by the Family Court Division; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 2005 Grant Fund be and hereby is made:
