Body
WHEREAS, the County Executive has approved the creation of the position of Building Inspector within the Department of Public Works; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Human Resources has reviewed the job description and recommended that the position be within the Merit System of Jackson County; and,
WHEREAS, the Department has recommended filling two (2) Building Inspector positions
and providing support resources for both positions; and,
WHEREAS, the funding of compensation of the positions and support resources anticipates increased revenue to the County from Building Code fees but presently requires an appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 2005 Special Road and Bridge Fund; and,
WHEREAS, the total sum of $143,745.00 has been recommended for this purpose; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be and hereby is made from the unappropriated surplus of the 2005 Special Road and Bridge Fund:
