Health & Justice Committee Amendment February 13, 1995 IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title A RESOLUTION awarding a term and supply contract on Bid No. 5-95 for the furnishing of commissary services for use by the Department of Corrections to Canteen Corporation of Kansas City, MO, to provide for departmental needs for the upcoming two-year period, at no cost to the County. Intro RESOLUTION #10641, February 6, 1995 INTRODUCED BY Dennis Waits, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 5-95 for a term and supply contract for the furnishing of commissary services for use by the inmates housed by the Department of Corrections for the upcoming two-years; and, WHEREAS, the specifications provide for the successful bidder to pay to the County a flat monthly fee of $1,800 for the right to offer said service; and, WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest three bids thereon bids from the following (being the estimated, average weekly gross sales to inmates): VENDOR AMOUNT Canteen Corporation $3,532.71 Kansas City (Jackson County), MO Tri Mark of Blue Springs $3,609.23 d/b/a Snack Time of Kansas City Independence, MO A.M.C. Concessions $5,825.66 Kansas City (Jackson County), MO and, WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to Canteen Corporation of Kansas City, MO, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to he using spending agencies have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget. Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
