A RESOLUTION congratulating Boy Scout Troop 145 on its 70th anniversary and commending the troop and the Raytown Scouting community for their efforts in building values and character in our youth and strengthening the foundations of our communities.

Body
WHEREAS, Scouting makes a significant impact on youth and the community by training its members in citizenship, service, and leadership; and,
WHEREAS, in celebration of Boy Scout Troop 145 and its 70 years of service to the Raytown Scouting community, boy and girl scout troops will be facilitating a city-wide "Scout-O-Rama" at C. Lee Kenagy Park on Saturday, May 15; and,
WHEREAS, the Raytown Scouting program invites and encourages public participation at the Scout-O-Rama which will enable youth in the community not involved in scouting to experience the many benefits and challenges available to scouting members; and,
WHEREAS, involvement in Scouting helps build a better community by instilling values and character in our future leaders; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature congratulates Boy Scout Troop 145 on its 70th anniversary and extends best wishes for the continued success of the Raytown Scouting program.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
