Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Electronic Solicitation No. BB20026 for the purchase of greenhouse supplies for use by the Parks and Recreation Department; and,
WHEREAS, the only bid received was from BWI Companies of Lenexa, KS; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to BWI Companies of Lenexa, KS, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County a contract with BWI Companies of Lenexa, KS; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency are contained in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.

This award is made on a need basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount. The availability of funds for specific purchases will, of necessity, be determined as each using agency places its order, with certification made at that time within amounts previously budgeted for the spending agency.
