BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:
Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RU" (Residential Urban) District, so that there will be transferred from District A to District RU, a tract of land described as follows:
Description:
A 20 ± acre tract of land generally located 330 ± feet west of SE Millstone Avenue on the south side of Langsford Road and specifically described as a tract of land being in the west half of the northeast quarter of the southwest quarter of Section 2, Township 47, Range 31 in Jackson County, Missouri more particularly described as follows: beginning at the northeast corner of the northwest quarter of the southwest quarter of said Section 2; thence S 87̊ 53' 16" E, 657.95 feet; thence S 02̊ 35' 04" W, 1308.53 feet; thence N 87̊ 53' 33" W, 657.94 feet; thence N 02̊ 35' 03" E, 1308.58 feet returning to the point of beginning, aka 23202 E. Langsford Road.
Section 2. The Jackson County Plan Commission, on April 21, 2005, held a public hearing and accepted testimony pertaining to the change of zoning requested by the Fields of Highland Park Development, L.L.C. This request is consistent with the intent and purpose of the Master Plan, therefore, the Plan Commission voted 7 to 0 with 1 abstention to recommend APPROVAL to the County Legislature.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
