Body
WHEREAS, the County has a need to provide parking spaces for County employees at the downtown Kansas City Courthouse; and,
WHEREAS, by Resolution 15657, dated October 10, 2005, the County Legislature did authorize the use of funds to provide for parking for employees of Jackson County who are stationed in downtown Kansas City; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing requests authorization for the County Executive to execute a one year month-to-month term and supply Agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto, with Standard Parking Corporation of Kansas City, MO, to provide parking spaces for County employees at the downtown Kansas City Courthouse; and,
WHEREAS, the costs for the Agreement are as follows:
DESCRIPTION COST
One-time refundable deposit per parking access card $15.00
Monthly fee per non-reserved parking space $65.00
and,
WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount. The availability of funds for specific purchases is subject to annual appropriations; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute a one year month-to-month term and supply Agreement with Standard Parking Corporation of Kansas City, MO to provide parking spaces for County employees at the downtown Kansas City Courthouse; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make payments to the extent that sufficient appropriations are available.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
