BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:
Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RE" (Residential Estates) District so that there will be transferred from District A to District RE a tract of land described as follows:
Description: A certain 22.1 ± acres located at the northwest corner of Buckner Tarsney Road (BB Highway) and Oakland School Road and described as follows:
Commencing at the Southeast corner of the Southeast Quarter of Section 3, Township 49 North, Range 30 West in Jackson County, Missouri, said point being in the intersection of Buckner Tarsney Road (State Highway B-B) with Oakland School Road; thence North 01 degrees 48 minutes 52 seconds East (this bearing and all following bearings being based on Grid North as established by Missouri State Plan Coordinate system and referenced to Station JA-03), 40.00 feet; thence North 88 degrees 36 minutes 32 seconds West along a line parallel with the South line of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 3, a distance of 40.52 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING, said point being the intersection of the West Right of Way of Buckner Tarsney Road with the North Right of Way line of Oakland School Road; thence continue along the North Right of Way line of Oakland School Road (40.00 feet from the center line thereof) said Right of Way line being parallel to the South line of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 3, a distance of 1168.88 feet; thence North 01 degrees 35 minutes 54 seconds East, 575.78 feet; thence North 88 degrees 36 minutes 32 seconds West along a line parallel with the South line of said Southeast Quarter, 114.00 feet to a point on the West line of the East Half of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 3; thence North 01 degrees 33 minutes 47 seconds East along the West line of the East Half of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 3, a distance of 227.37 feet; thence South 88 degrees 36 minutes 32 seconds East along a line parallel with the South line of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 3, a distance of 1285.75 feet to a point on the West Right of Way line of Buckner Tarsney Road (State Highway B-B); thence South 01 degrees 47 minutes 34 seconds West along the West Right of Way lien (40.00 feet from the centerline thereof), 802.96 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING aka 32204 E. Oakland School Road.
Section 2. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Jeff Walls (RZ-2003-292), requesting the amendment embodied in this ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended this application in a public hearing on February 20, 2003, does adopt this ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.

Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
