Body
WHEREAS, it is necessary to replace the Old 40 Highway Bridge No. 14700061, in Section 35, Township 49 North, Range 30 West, as this bridge is structurally deficient and non-compliant with the provisions of 23 U.S.C. §144 and applicable federal directives; and,
WHEREAS, the Federal Highway and Transportation Commission has funds available for the purpose of replacing the bridge under its Off-System Bridge Replacement and Rehabilitation Program; and,
WHEREAS, these federal funds are distributed through the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission; and,
WHEREAS, the attached Agreement will secure funding for replacement of the bridge; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the agreement is hereby approved and that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute the attached agreement with the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
