Body
WHEREAS, the Missouri Department of Social Services, Division of Child Support Enforcement, has been delegated the responsibility for the development and administration of a statewide program to establish and enforce child support obligations; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 13340, the Division, the Circuit Court of Jackson County, and the County have proposed to enter into a cooperative agreement concerning child support enforcement in Jackson County, as authorized by § 454.405, RSMo; and,
WHEREAS, the Division, Court, and County also desire to establish a mechanism by which certain staff costs of the Court's Family Court Division can be reimbursed by the Division of Child Support Enforcement to the County; and,
WHEREAS, the attached Supplemental Agreement for Jackson County Family Court Staff provides such a mechanism; and,
WHEREAS, this Agreement is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of the County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be, and hereby is, authorized to execute the attached Supplemental Agreement for Jackson County Family Court Staff.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
