Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited formal written bids on Request for Proposals (RFP) No. 10-11, for consulting services for use by the Public Works Department and the Jackson County Stormwater Commission; and,
 
WHEREAS, the Director received three responses to the RFP, which were evaluated by a committee consisting of members of the Jackson County Stormwater Commission and the Public Works Department; and,
 
WHEREAS, after evaluating the consulting firms' qualifications, references, and proposals, the committee has recommended the award of an eight-month contract with three twelve-month options to extend for the furnishing of consulting services to Shockey Consulting of Lenexa, KS, as the most qualified respondent meeting specifications, pursuant to RFP No. 10-11, at a cost to the County in 2011 not to exceed $20,000.00; and,
 
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute a Consulting Services Agreement with Shockey Consulting, Inc., of Lenexa, KS, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using agency are contained in the then current County budget.
 
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
