Body

 WHEREAS, the Kansas City Shepherd’s Center has, for the past six years, honored individuals in our community who continue to make significant contributions after retirement through the Kansas City’s 70 Over 70 program; and,

 

WHEREAS, these honorees represent a diverse array of fields including art, business, philanthropy, and more, demonstrating the enduring impact of their contributions to the community; and,

 

WHEREAS, the 2024 Class of Kansas City’s 70 Over 70 exemplifies excellence, dedication, and a commitment to improving Kansas City, showcasing the wisdom and experience of our elders; and,

 

WHEREAS, Janet Baker, the Executive Director of the Shepherd Center, has aptly noted that these individuals are the builders of our city and continue to shape its future, offering invaluable lessons and insights from their life experiences; and,

 

WHEREAS, the following distinguished individuals have been named to the 2024 Class of Kansas City’s 70 Over 70:

WHEREAS, these individuals have not only achieved remarkable success in their respective fields but continue to contribute their time, energy, and expertise to the betterment of Kansas City; and,

 

WHEREAS, their stories of perseverance, creativity, and service inspire us all to recognize the value and potential of our elder citizens; now therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the Legislature hereby congratulates the 2024 Class of Kansas City’s 70 Over 70 and commends their remarkable achievements and their continued dedication to making Kansas City a vibrant, inclusive, and thriving community.

 

 

 

 

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
