A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to execute a Memorandum of Understanding with the City of Kansas City, Missouri, and the Kansas City, Missouri Board of Police Commissioners, regarding the Prosecuting Attorney's Drug Abatement Response Team, at a cost to the County not to exceed $96,000.00.

RESOLUTION # 13320, August 21, 2000

 

INTRODUCED BY Dan Tarwater, County Legislator

 

 

Body

WHEREAS, each year the County enters into a Memorandum of Understanding with the City of Kansas City, Missouri, and the Kansas City, Missouri Board of Police Commissioners, regarding the Prosecuting Attorney's Drug Abatement Response Team (DART); and,

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to its terms, said Memorandum shall extend until June 30, 2001; and,

 

WHEREAS, the parties desire to extend the DART program for an additional twelve months, so as to have a term coincident with the grant by the State of Missouri in support of this program; now therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Memorandum of Understanding with the City of Kansas City, Missouri, and the Kansas City, Missouri Board of Police Commissioners; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment under the Memorandum.

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
