Body
WHEREAS, Jessica Bush is a Senior at Blue Springs High School with remarkable achievements in sports and academics; and,
WHEREAS, Jessica maintains a 3.8 grade point average on a 4.0 scale and ranks 98th in her class of 533 students; and,
WHEREAS, Jessica has been a member of the Student Senate from 2003-2005, Student Body Treasurer from 2004-2005, and was the Junior Class Vice-President from 2004-2005; and,
WHEREAS, Jessica is also a member of the Hi-Step program, Spanish Club, Student Activities Club, and C.A.T.S. Club; and,
WHEREAS, Jessica was the 2004 Special Olympics Bowling Coach; and,
WHEREAS, in addition to Jessica's academic achievements, she also has a remarkable sports record; and,
WHEREAS, as a member of the Blue Springs Soccer Team, she has won District Champs (2002-2004), Conference Champs (2003-2004), Sectional Champs (2004), and Third Place at the Missouri High School State Final Four Championship (2004); and,
WHEREAS, Jessica was also named 1st Team All-District (2001-2002), 1st Team All-Metro (2001-2002), 1st Team All-Conference (2002-2004), 1st Team All-Area (2002-2004), 1st Team All-State (2003-2004), 2nd Team All-State (2002-2004), Player of the Year (2002-2004), Missouri High School Offensive Player of the Year (2003), Missouri Player of the Year (2004), and NSCAA High School All-American (2004), in addition to being the Team Captain (2002-2005); now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature congratulates Jessica Bush on her outstanding achievements in academics and sports and wishes her the best in all her future endeavors.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
