WHEREAS, the Housing and Community Development Department of Kansas City has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to ensuring equal opportunities for all residents to enjoy safe and stable housing; and,
WHEREAS, the Housing and Community Development Department of Kansas City actively works to preserve and expand housing choice and affordability through innovative and comprehensive programs; and,
WHEREAS, the Housing and Community Development Department of Kansas City’s programs address the diverse needs of the community, ensuring that everyone has access to the housing they need regardless of socio-economic status; and,
WHEREAS, the efforts of the Housing and Community Development Department of Kansas City contribute significantly to the overall well-being of the community by promoting social equity and sustainable urban development; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby offers an expression of gratitude and support for the Housing and Community Development Department of Kansas City’s dedication to fostering a community where safe, stable, and affordable housing is a priority for all residents.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
