A RESOLUTION awarding a twelve-month term and supply contract on Electronic Solicitation No. BB200541 for the furnishing of telephone equipment for use by the MIS Department to STL, Inc., of St. Louis, MO, Renewtel Electronics Co. of Graham, NC, Call One Inc., of Cape Canaveral, FL, and Nexxtworks, Inc., of Palm Harbor, FL, to provide for departmental needs for the upcoming one-year period.

Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited bids on Electronic Solicitation No. BB20047 for the furnishing of telephone equipment for use by the MIS department; and,
WHEREAS, he distributed 40 solicitations and has received 9 responses thereon, one of which was a "no bid";
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Purchasing Director recommends that the contract be divided and awarded to the vendors submitting the lowest bid for each category of items; and,
WHEREAS, award as recommended would result in estimated awards to the following vendors:
VENDOR
STL, Inc.
St. Louis, MO
Renewtel Electronics Co.
Graham, NC
Call One Inc.
Cape Canaveral, Fl
Nexxtworks, Inc.
Palm Harbor, FL
and,
WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate the County to pay any specific amount; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
