Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited bids on Electronic Solicitation No. BB200598 for the rental of heavy equipment with operator service for use by the Parks & Recreation and Public Works Departments to provide for the departmental needs for an upcoming one-year period; and,
WHEREAS, he distributed 21 solicitations and received one (1) response thereon from Damon Pursell Construction Co. of Liberty, MO; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has recommended that the award be made to Damon Pursell Construction Co. of Liberty, MO, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; and,
WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligation the County to pay any specific amount; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing , and that the Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
