Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 17796, dated January 23, 2012, the Legislature did authorize the execution of an agreement with Community Services League of Independence MO, to provide assistance to homeless persons at the recommendation of the Housing Resources Commission (HRC), for a period ending December 31, 2012, at a cost to the County in the amount of $10,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, the HRC staff has recommended that the County Executive be authorized to extend the existing agreement with Community Services League through June 30, 2013, at no additional cost to the County; and,
WHEREAS, the recommended extension will allow Community Services League to utilize the balance of the allocation provided to it in 2012; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute an extension to the agreement with Community Services League, through June 30, 2013, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreement, as extended.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
